FAQ

What is ApexArmor?

ApexArmor is a next-generation RV and trailer roofing system built from our patent-pending Aluminized Hybrid Polyurea resulting in the most durable, heat-rejecting, and long-lasting roof solution on the market today.

ApexArmor uses a patent-pending Aluminized Hybrid Polyurea making it far more durable than EPDM or TPO rubber roofing and better performing than any other spray on roof on the market. Unlike rubber roofs that can chalk, crack, or require regular resealing, ApexArmor is seamless, puncture-resistant, and reflective, significantly reducing long-term maintenance needs.

Yes. ApexArmor forms a fully monolithic, seamless membrane once sprayed. It eliminates weak points (like seams and caulking lines) that often lead to water intrusion. This ensures long-lasting waterproofing even under harsh weather conditions.

With proper care, ApexArmor is designed to outlast traditional rubber roofs by decades. While rubber roofs may need replacement within 10–15 years, ApexArmor can extend roof life to 20+ years thanks to its durability and resistance to UV, impact, and environmental wear.

Yes. ApexArmor can be applied to virtually all RVs and trailers—motorhomes, fifth wheels, travel trailers, toy haulers, horse trailers, dry vans, cargo trailers etc. Its spray-on system bonds directly to the existing surface, adapting to complex shapes and contours.

Installation typically takes 1–2 days, depending on prep work. Rubber removal (if needed), surface prep, and curing time all factor in. Some facilities may require an additional day for inspection and customer pickup. Each installation facility will have a different lead time.

Yes, in many cases. If your RV roof damage is covered by insurance (e.g., storm, branch, or impact damage), ApexArmor is the ultimate replacement option. All insurers recognize spray-applied roofing systems as valid claims repairs and prefer this over a standard rubber roof.

  • Millions of color choices beyond the standard reflective gray/white.

  • Component coating can make your A/Cs and other roof mounted components last longer.

  • Integrated decals or patterns.

Ability to adapt to new or existing roof mounted solar systems.

Installers must go through official training and certification provided by Spray Rite Industries (the developer). This ensures correct surface prep, spray techniques, and quality control. Interested shops typically apply through ApexArmor’s installer program and can go live immediately after training.

Minimal maintenance is needed. Unlike rubber roofs that need resealing, conditioning, patching and constant inspection, ApexArmor only requires:

  • Occasional washing with mild soap/water to help maintain appearance

  • Visual inspections for unusual damage

  • No regular resealing or caulking

Generally 2–3 days:

  • Day 1: Prep and application

  • Day 2: Curing and inspection

  • Day 3 (optional): Customer pickup after final quality checks

Yes. ApexArmor installations typically include a limited lifetime warranty against leaks and adhesion failures, covering material and workmanship. Warranty terms vary by certified installer.

  • Use mild soap and water with a soft brush or mop.

  • Avoid harsh solvents or abrasive tools.

Cleaning 2–3 times per year helps maintain appearance and reflectivity.

Minimal. The coating adds only a few pounds per linear foot, on average this is around 100-200 lbs distributed over the entire length of the roof.

Standard: Reflective silver/white for maximum heat rejection.
Optional: Custom colors may be available through certified installers, depending on demand and application type, you can choose nearly any color or design you’d like!

In most cases, yes. However, the installer may offer the customer a simple coating over the existing rubber roof, and ApexArmor bonds directly over it. If the rubber is severely damaged, sections may be stripped before application and per ApexArmor standards, damaged decking must ALWAYS be repaired before ApexArmor is applied.

Pricing varies by RV size, complication level and installer location, but ApexArmor is usually competitive with or slightly above traditional roof replacement costs and more often than not, your installer can work with your insurance to get you a brand new lifetime warranty roof for nothing out of pocket.

The long-term value comes from eliminating future resealing, lower cooling costs, and extended lifespan.
